Microsoft facts

Recently I came across this forwarded email. Probably many of you have not heard about tis. I searched on the net n asked around bout tis so called 'magic'. I posted the findings as comments.Take a look...

Email Part 1:

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the
Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something pretty
Cool...and Unbelievable.... At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this
happened!
TRY IT NOW ,IT WILL NOT CREATE " CON " FOLDER

Comments: Not only 'con' but 'NUL', 'lpt1', 'com1','com2'...blablabla.....wouldnt work as well in any of the windows operating system. I heard it from a couple of frens. This is simply bcoz these variables are reserved system names. IT is not true that the Microsoft Team couldnt answer to this. They knew this stuff!!!

Email Part 2:

For those of you using Windows, do the following:

1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.

is it just a really weird bug? :-??

Comments from Wikipedia: Bush hid the facts is the common name for a bug found in the Microsoft Windows XP version of Notepad. It is sometimes referred to as an Easter egg but is not an intentional addition to the program. While "Bush hid the facts" is the sentence most forwarding around the Internet the bug does not exclusively occur with that phrase. The bug will manifest itself with many sentences of a particular structure: One word with 4 letters, two or more words with 3 letters, one word with 5 letters. Except for the starting character all the letters must be lower case. The bug appears when such a string is entered into Notepad (with no other characters) and then saved as a text file. Upon reloading the file into Notepad the text will be replaced with nine Chinese characters (or squares if the language pack has not been installed).

Email Part3:

Microsoft crazy facts

This is something pretty cool and neat...and unbelievable...

At
Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!
It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself...

Open Microsoft Word and type

=rand (200, 99)

And then press ENTER

Then see the magic

Comments from Forum: It's a test feature. It's been in Word for a long time. You can vary the numbers to get a different number of results. The first number is the amount of lines, and the second the amount of times the sentence is printed per line.

The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is a sentence that contains all 26 letters of the roman alphabet. As such, it's a convenient test phrase when testing things like fonts and markup. Again it is not true that Microsoft Team couldnt answer to this!!!

Amazing???Feel free to share your knowledge on this.
